The Department of Engineering Mathematics is offering a summer workshop designed for biology students to learn about marine ecosystem modelling. Students will learn to represent ecological concepts using equations, write, debug and run codes, and interpret results. Students will work in groups and there is the opportunity to work on a final project in the third week, depending on interest. The workshop consists of lectures and coding sessions using MATLAB. No coding experience is required and participants can add this workshop to their Co-Curricular Record and resume, and can be helpful for future jobs or classes!
The workshops are free of charge and will run from August 9-27th.
