Brynn Harris-Shanks

Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Program Specialist

Brynn is a recent neuroscience graduate, specializing in neurotechnology, innovation, and communication. She has 3 years of experience researching methods to improve brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), which is a technology that controls devices using signals from the brain. Through this research, Brynn has developed a strong background in functional neuroimaging and scientific programming. She is a huge neurotech enthusiast and enjoys sharing this passion with others. One outlet for this is the BCI club she runs at SURGE. Brynn helps provide students with hands-on experience with all the components of BCIs—neuroscience, EEG, data science, and machine learning—as the resident BCI specialist.
