Scient develops an integrative platform for analyzing ocean video and imagery datasets. Its fully developed platform measures the abundance of species (in micro and macro scales) and substrates for habitat classification, coastal monitoring, and resource assessments.

Marine Way is a lost and found fishing gear (ghost gear) reporting platform that uses citizen science to map out ghost gear hotspots to guide research and facilitate the removal and management of these gear.

STEM Connector connects Dalhousie STEM students interested in the industry with other students or working professionals with experience in the industry.

Daku Tech is developing a personal locator beacon device that will elevate the safety of fish harvesters by alerting fellow harvesters and authorities if they have fallen overboard. Their technology will decrease the life-threatening risk of falling overboard and provide equal opportunities for all fish harvesters to return home to their loved ones.
